CNC Swiss Machining of AR Oversized Bolt for Firearms Industry

For this project Hinz was contracted by a local Wisconsin firearms manufacturer to produce a steel oversized bolt for an AR-10 or .308 caliber rifle. Produced from 9010 Steel this product features 6 holes total with live tooling used for intersecting cross holes. Utilizing an advanced 8-Axis CNC Swiss equipped with livet ooling capabilites, Hinz manufactured the part in one step and in under 20 mintes of un-manned time.
